Who We Are
A SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Terrance DePietro has been an exhibiting artist (painter) since the early 1970s. Prior to that he was involved in photography and published while apprenticing with Alex Zidock, a press photographer in Pennsylvania.
His work has been exhibited in group and one-person shows internationally. New York, Paris, Quebec and Montreal - showing in one-person and invitational exhibits - and actively a member of the Woodstock Artist Association in the seventies, eights and early nineties. Also being a member of the International Society of Artists, The Green County Council on the Arts and in Quebec City, La Chamber Blanc.

During the 1990s DePietro maintained a studio in Quebec City where he gave instruction in Materials & Techniques, presentations on pigments, traditional & alternative artist materials and did Teach-the-Teacher seminars for University and College professors. Also during this period he developed and assisted in the development of several artist products. This was all a result of his tutorage in the 1980s by Bernard X. Bovasso, who inspired DePietro's direction and intention in many areas of concern.
Presently residing in Palenville, New York, he has maintained a studio for thirty years and shares a studio in Montreal. Terrance continues his explorations in paint & canvas, as well as instructing here & abroad; and consulting on artist's materials for private companies. When not in Palenville, he can usually be found in Quebec City or Montreal to the north; or visiting his childhood canyons of New York City.
